My name is Stephanie, I'm 22 years old and I have never, ever, run a race. I believe the last time I did any kind of running was in my Phys. Ed. class during my senior year in high school - we had to jog continuously for 20 minutes. Since then I've had various gym memberships but have more or less stuck to low-impact workouts like the elliptical. I'm going to look at training for the 10k as a privelege, not only because I have been blessed with a body that is physically capable of taking me from point A to point B, but also because training will give me an opportunity to do something for me & no one else. If I can train my mind to get stronger, I know my body will follow.
